Sponsor a Greyhound
Sponsoring a hound is a great way to help Kama's Cave. For £15 a year, you will receive a Certificate of Sponsorship for your chosen hound, a photograph of him or her, the Kama's Cave Newsletter and an Introduction to your Hound, followed by three updates.
Sponsor dogs are still looking for their Forever home, but all of these hounds have something special about them (maybe due to their age, or health problems, or extra need for socialisation). Because of this, it may take a while to find their perfect family. But these hounds don't feel sorry for themselves. Each of the sponsor dogs has their own individual, quirky characters and find their own way of making life fun.
Sponsorship makes a wonderful gift for friends and family. It is perfect for people who for various reasons are not able to have their own dogs or for those (like many of our volunteers) who have a hound but just want to "own" more and more.

At the moment we have two sponsor dogs.
Portia
Portia is the original Ugly Duckling. She is 6 years old and really not very pretty. Her nature is that of a 'bull in a china shop', which we feel is getting slightly better over time. This is going to make it difficult for her to get a home, as there are not many people out there that want to be bear hugged as they walk throught the door.
Saying all of this, Portia's heart is in the right place, she just wants to love and please you but she is so strong when she hugs she sucks your air out.

Sally
This poor little girl is a nervous wreck and will require someone with patience and experience of dealing with dogs with this problem.
Sally came to live at Kama's Cave on 26th July 2009.
Until that special owner is found, Sally will be a sponsor dog to help meet her living costs and to care for her.
